Ottawa Folkfest 2013 Lineup Announced

vampire_weekend

Ottawa Folkfest has been announced, and it includes some huge headliners from all eras. The first day’s shows give people (including me) the opportunity to finally see one of Canada’s biggest music legends, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, share the stage with fellow badass Patti Smith. Other headliners for the festival include Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Hayden, The Sheepdogs, The Avett Brothers, and more. A bunch of local acts are on board too, including Little Stella, Shannon Rose & the Thorns, Three Little Birds, The Dusty Drifters, Amos the Transparent, Amanda Rheaume, Claude Munson and the Storm Outside, and so on. It’s really exciting to see some of Ottawa’s best local musicians get a chance to share the stage with legends. Day pass prices are still TBA, so we’ll let you know how much those are when they announce those prices. You can bet your ass that Ottawa Showbox will be on-site for this, it’s going to be a good one!
