New Music: Honeymooning by Grime Kings

On Monday March, 31st, Ottawa’s Grime Kings dropped Honeymooning on us all.

The experimental garage band caught my attention at last year’s Ottawa Explosion Weekend.  At the time, only one member was legal drinking age and they blew me away with their strong live set. While writing my review I went to look for more information and discovered they already had an album and an EP under their belt.  The band’s most recent release is much more experimental and weird than their earlier stuff – I freaking dig it and really want to see it performed live.  Maybe there is a hint of Callum’s sister Caylie‘s influence? I truly enjoy the title track “Honeymooning” and the epic almost 8 minute jam of a last track, “The Every Future.” Check out the Honeymooning below and pick it up for pay what you can on bandcamp.
