457

Hey guys, welcome back for the third time!

This time, for “Rock Revolt” which happens this Friday, July 18, at 105 Slack Road at 7:00 pm, and you guys have some pretty sweet prizes for this event.

Tell us what attendees can win and how to enter?

James – Thanks for having us back! We’re really stoked for our 7th annual Rock Revolt featuring Skate4Hunger this year. I’ll let Trinity handle the details on the Big Gives going out this year.

Trinity – Our grand prize draws are epic and it’s “GIVE2WIN” where people bring out 5 or more canned goods for the food bank or items for the homeless and are entered to win a 32″ LED HD TV or a Team Pro Model skateboard from SIREN.

What is “Rock Revolt” about?

James – It’s all about “Revolting Against Hunger” not many people know this but approx 50,000 people visit an Ottawa area food bank every month. This is all about showing our support and helping to meet that need.

Trinity – Last year over 6, 500 people in Ottawa spent the night in a homeless shelter. There are approx. 9,000 men, women, children and youth living in Ottawa’s streets without proper housing and necessities to live. This event has always had a huge impact on our city, where bands, skaters and people in general unite for justice, helping to feed and clothe hundreds of people in need of practical help.

What bands do you have playing this years “Rock Revolt”?

Trinity – We are so excited about the epic lineup of bands for this event. Six amazingly talented bands will be taking the stage for the cause: 457SUBJECT2CHANGE,Project Orion, Cruelty in Colour, Terra Firma, A Scar for the Wicked and Minds of Men.

James – We also have some great Live DJs including DJ Mattro spinning sets throughout the night and the S4H skateboard contests.

As usual, 457 The Edge has some killer giveaways aside from the main contest.

What else is up for grabs?

James – There’s always a Load of gives going out at 457 and this event will be no different including gift cards and prizes from all our sponsors.

Trinity – Tshirts, skate shoes, gift cards, skateboards, tons of stuff! Everybody has a chance to get in on the giveaways and leave with some free stuff. VideoGame Corner gives you a chance to game all night and win $50 to EB Games, and not to forget the crazy amounts of prizing for the winners of the night’s SKATE4HUNGER competitions!

For newcomers, how does their band get involved if they want to sign up for the next event?

Trinity – Bands can contact us through the ONSTAGE section of our website at revolution457.com Include your band info and your contact and we’ll book you for an upcoming event! James – Ya and we’re always interested in hearing and having new talent, have to support your local scene, always.

Thanks for joining us guys, see you Friday!

James – Thanks again for having us!

Trinity – Rock on!
