Kings of Lowetown recently dropped a new video for their song “Nowhere Road.”

The video by the self-proclaimed dirt blues band is filmed throughout the Ottawa Valley and Quebec’s Pontiac region, including the outskirts of Pembroke, Portage-du-Fort and the Algonquin First Nation Community of Pikwakanagan. It features really cool footage of abandoned homes and barns along the way, a treat for any fans of abandoned porn. The visuals greatly reflect the somber sound and lyrics of the song.

My favourite element of the video are all the cuts to Josée Bourgeois an Algonquin dancer, actor, model and 2015 Ottawa Arboretum Music Festival panelist, as she dances in tradition garbs. It is beautiful and powerful.

The video was directed by the very talented and award-winning documentarian Matt LeMay. Check it out below.
