Ottawa duo, The Ticket, officially launched their new five-song EP Retro Pop. The Ticket play great bluesy rock that reminds me of a mix of Elvis Costello and The Black Keys.

With the new EP also comes the launch of a really sharp new website, where you can also download Retro Pop for free.  I strongly encourage you to listen to the EP (below or via download) and follow along with the lyrics, photos from the launch party and comments on each song from the band members.  The entire process was extremely well crafted, from the rocking tracks, my favourite being “Hard Road,” to the track by track breakdown on the site. Very well done gentlemen, very well done. I sure hope their is a full length album planned in the future.
