Open Air Social Club, a popular weekly dance party held downtown each summer, has secured a new patio space on Sparks Street for the 2015 season.

Rumours swirled around as word got out that something was amiss at the Parliament Pub, OASC’s home for the past 4 years. The building which holds the Pub will be under construction all summer, a Public Works project which is six months behind schedule.

OASC was quick to seek out other outdoor options as soon as the news broke. “When we learned it wasn’t a go at Parliament Pub, we immediately started looking for something close by with a similar atmosphere,” says Matt Tamblyn, co-founder of OASC.

They didn’t have to look far, 73 North (73 Sparks) is a restaurant within a stone’s throw on Sparks Street between Metcalfe and Elgin with a spacious outdoor patio. With a new venue secured, the OASC folks are now able to focus on the fun stuff: throwing awesome dance parties each week on a beautiful outdoor patio. Their summer launch party is May 28th.
