Ottawa Bluesfest 2017 Lineup Announced

bluesfest_banner (1)

2017 is a big year for Canada as we celebrate our 150th anniversary as a nation. The epicentre of the nationwide party will be Ottawa, and Bluesfest falls smack-dab in the middle of the summer to help with the festivities July 6–16.

This year’s lineup contains a broad spectrum of artists, including some big time headliners that range from the roaring tunes of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to the searing sounds of Grammy award-winning Flume. Petty hasn’t played Ottawa since 1981, and it sure as hell feels great to have him back. Not to mention that many folks thought they’d never get to see indie/electronic group LCD Soundsystem play again live, but they will be keeping the beat going this summer at Lebreton Flats.

It’s exciting to see such talented local groups such as Malak, Slack Bridges, Telecomo, Mushy Gushy, and more get a chance to play the big stage as well. Audiences are in for treat with the local lineup this year.

Listen to Mark Monahan discuss this year’s Bluesfest lineup on CBC here. This schedule is updated as of April 13, 2017. Lineup is subject to change at any time by the festival.
